Under 300 g: the quick test for a tee row
Our planning weight for a tee is 0.25 kg, an estimate we did not measure, and the test below tells you whether a given row really fits it. Fabric weight is GSM (grams per square metre) multiplied by the square metres of cloth in the shirt. A regular medium tee uses roughly 1.2 m² and a boxy one roughly 1.5 m² (both our assumptions). Divide 300 by the area and you get the highest GSM that stays under 300 g: 250 for regular, 200 for boxy.
| Listing says | Assumed cloth | Fabric weight | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| 160 GSM | 1.2 m² | 192 g | under 300 g |
| 200 GSM | 1.2 m² | 240 g | under 300 g |
| 240 GSM | 1.2 m² | 288 g | under 300 g |
| 180 GSM | 1.5 m² | 270 g | under 300 g |
| 240 GSM | 1.5 m² | 360 g | over 300 g |
| 280 GSM | 1.5 m² | 420 g | over 300 g |
So a 240 GSM regular tee stays under 300 g, but the same GSM in a boxy cut does not. Sellers write the number as 克重 or just "240g"; if it is missing, treat the row as the heavier case. This is why a "heavyweight boxy tee" belongs in the 0.25 kg plan only as a stretch.
Divide 300 by the cloth area to find the GSM ceiling for a light tee.
Boxy, oversized and regular: reading the fit from the numbers
A boxy tee is wide and shorter, so body length and chest width are close to equal. A regular tee is longer than it is wide. Oversized adds a dropped shoulder, where the seam sits below the shoulder bone. On a Chinese listing look for 胸围 (chest), 衣长 (length), 肩宽 (shoulder) and 袖长 (sleeve). Chest is usually given flat, so double it for the full circle; a flat 58 cm is 116 cm around.
In German the terms are "T-Shirt" and "oversize". Quote chest and length against a shirt you own, because letter sizes (M, L, XL) vary by seller. The size chart guide and the size converter help translate; the plain table /files/chinese-size-sheet.csv is there too.
Judge fit by chest and length in cm, not by the letter.
Seven tee styles in the rows
| Style | Example price | Est. weight | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regular-fit cotton tee | ¥45 (≈ €7.11) | 0.25 kg | Neck rib and shrinkage note |
| Boxy heavyweight tee | ¥70 (≈ €11.06) | 0.25 kg | GSM, since it may pass 300 g |
| Oversized drop-shoulder tee | ¥60 (≈ €9.48) | 0.25 kg | Shoulder seam position |
| Washed vintage-look tee | ¥75 (≈ €11.85) | 0.25 kg | Wash evenness in photos |
| Pocket tee | ¥55 (≈ €8.69) | 0.25 kg | Pocket placement |
| Graphic print tee | ¥65 (≈ €10.27) | 0.25 kg | Print edges and cracking |
| Long-sleeve tee | ¥80 (≈ €12.64) | 0.25 kg | Cuff rib and sleeve length |
Prices are our round example numbers. Euro values use LitBuy's displayed rate of ¥1 ≈ €0.158 (27 Oct 2026), above typical bank rates; your checkout total decides. The grid above shows tee rows from the 10,000+ product catalogue.
Seven styles, one planning weight, and GSM is what separates them.
Tees by the parcel: one, two, three, four, five
Shipping steps on LitBuy's German DHL economy line are 500 g, 1 kg and 2 kg. Tees are small enough that the parcel size, not the item, sets the price. Method: ¥60 × 0.158 per tee plus the all-in estimator price (EU tariff prepayment included) read on 27 Oct 2026. The wider fee logic is covered on the landed price calculator.
Hypothetical ¥60 tees to Germany, by quantity
1 tee: €9.48 + 500 g step €23.08€32.56
2 tees (est. 0.50 kg): €18.96 + €23.08€42.04
3 tees (est. 0.75 kg): €28.44 + 1 kg step €30.42€58.86
4 tees (est. 1.00 kg): €37.92 + €30.42€68.34
5 tees (est. 1.25 kg): €47.40 + 2 kg step €45.09€92.49
Per tee that is €32.56, €21.02, €19.62, €17.09 and €18.50: the cheapest point is four tees at the very top of the 1 kg step. Two tees sit right at the 500 g edge, so one heavier tee tips them into the next step. In the UK the first two tees ship at £11.06 and three at £16.83. In the US the figures are $25.55 and $41.17 on ZF-GOFO-US-1.
Four tees is the sweet spot in the 1 kg step; two sits on the 500 g edge.
Photos worth asking for on a tee
LitBuy's routine photos are generally three to six, with extras at ¥1 each (about €0.16). For tees, ask for:
- The neck rib laid flat, which shows stretch and stitching.
- A chest-width tape shot to confirm the flat figure in the listing.
- The hem and sleeve ends, to catch loose threads.
- The print close up, since cracking and uneven edges show there first.
LitBuy does not cover colour difference, so judge colour against the seller's photos. The QC photos guide shows the order to check in. The ¥7 video is footwear only.
Chest tape and neck rib answer most fit and quality questions.
Adding tees to other rows
A tee is the classic filler: it adds 0.25 kg and rides in a step you have already paid for. Combine it with hoodies, pants or summer shorts, and read combine parcels for the step logic or light add-ons for lighter fillers. Without a LitBuy account? Send the row to us via the WhatsApp QR on the contact page: one delivered price, photos before dispatch, pay per order. Tee rows can be found on TikTok sheets.
Tees fill gaps in a step; add them last.
Tee questions
How can I tell a tee will be under 300 g from the listing?
Multiply the GSM by the cloth area. We assume about 1.2 m² for a regular medium and 1.5 m² for a boxy one, so the ceiling is roughly 250 GSM for regular and 200 GSM for boxy. A 240 GSM boxy tee comes to about 360 g. These are assumptions, not weights; the listing rarely states the shirt's weight.
What makes a tee boxy on a Chinese listing?
A boxy tee has a chest width close to its body length, a wide cut and often a dropped shoulder seam. Look at 胸围 (chest), 衣长 (length) and 肩宽 (shoulder) in the size table, remembering chest is usually flat, so a flat 58 cm is 116 cm around. Compare against a shirt you own, not the letter.
How many tees fit in the 500 g step?
Two on our estimate of 0.25 kg each, which lands exactly on the edge. Two hypothetical ¥60 tees landed in Germany at €42.04 on 27 Oct 2026, with €23.08 of that in shipping. A third tee moves the parcel to the 1 kg step at €30.42, so it adds shipping of €7.34 plus its own price.
Is five tees cheaper per tee than three?
In our example, yes by a little. Five ¥60 tees landed at €92.49 (about €18.50 each) in the 2 kg step, against €58.86 for three (about €19.62 each). Four tees at €68.34, about €17.09 each, was the cheapest per tee because it fills the 1 kg step. Weights are estimates, so check the packed total.
What GSM counts as a heavyweight tee?
As a rule of thumb, 180 to 220 GSM is a regular tee and 280 and above is heavyweight. Sellers use the label loosely, so the figure matters more than the word. A heavyweight tee in a boxy cut can pass 300 g, which erodes the 0.25 kg plan, so price it a little heavier in a parcel of several.
Which QC photos are worth requesting for a tee?
Ask for the neck rib laid flat, a tape across the chest, the hem and sleeve ends, and the print close up. LitBuy's routine set is generally three to six photos and extra shots cost ¥1 each, about €0.16. Colour difference is not covered by LitBuy's check, so compare colour with the seller's own photos.
